I received my notice of naturalization oath ceremony to go to the Fenway park ceremony at Sept 14th 2010. In the mean time I have a friend who also received the same letter to go to the same ceremony. My question is his letter came in Pink and mine in blue. Does anyone knows the difference? Also I have a big #1 on my letter and his is #2? Does anyone know about this too?

Blue is for men, pink is for girly men.

More seriously, USCIS likely used some color code/number system based on A# and/or last name to schedule such a big oath event which coincides with citizenship day/constitution week September 17.

Nice sense of humor :)
Ok so this is just for organization matter.

does anyone of this forum have any idea about specifics surrounding the Oath Ceremony on Sept 14, 2010. I have called Immigration and Fenway Park and can't seem to get any answers. My questions are: are there a limited # of guests we each can bring? Do we check in at 9:00 along with the citizens to be; or can we check in later. (they need to be processed, we don't) Is there a charge per guest? Will the concessions be open? I will have my 75 yr old mother and I'm pretty sure they won't be letting us bring in our own waters, etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have searched for these answers on my own and have not had any luck. BTW my husbands flier was yellow (-:

Does anyone have fliers with a time other than 9am? If some people have later times I'd assume it's okay for anyone's guests to arrive later?

JS,

There are limits to the number of guests which you can bring to the oath ceremony. However, common sense should prevail, there is no point in bringing 28 people, but I believe 6-8 people is sensible. While I know Fenway is where the Boston "girly men" play, I don't think USCIS can organize a ceremony there and expects naturalization candidates and their family to pay to enter the ball park. That's unAmerican as Newt Gingrich. I am certain you can bring bottled water for your family, especially if there is an elderly who might need the water. Colored letters is probably for easier organization of all candidates, and nothing else.
