Boston area EAD renewal timing

My EAD expires in 07 (July) so I was wondering when should I apply for renewal? Because I saw this post in one of the forums mention 5-6 months renewal times. So I wondered how long are they taking at the Boston local office. Anyone has any first hand info?

Don't worry, it won't take more than 90 days. I got recently with in 70 days...............

If you go there in person, you get it the same day.
 
Does Boston office does EAD renewal if you go in person ? I thought all the local office has stopped doing EAD/AP. You have to send the application to Service center.

Where did you hear this? This is from their own website:

"Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) (first time & renewals):
Applicants for employment authorization may come to the Customer Information Center (JFK Federal Building, Room E-160) to file their application, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. You will be issued a ticket during those times but please note that you may have to wait several hours until your ticket number is called. The Customer Information Center is closed on the third Friday of the month, all weekends and Federal holidays. Employment authorization documents are issued the same day in most cases. Please bring a completed Form I-765, money order, picture identification and evidence of employment eligibility at the time of filing."

EAD renewal questions

same day EAD renewal in Boston? Does this only apply for those over who are still waiting for their EAD >90 days?
 
There's conflicting information about getting your AP or EAD renewed
or not when you go there. The only way really know for sure
is to go there and try. Their website claims you can.
