Birthplace in passport

I have a wrong Birthplace in my Passport,But i have provided a correct Birthplace and a Birth certificate to INS.It was a clerical mistake,does it create any problem while i go for a stamping.,My case was transfered to Local Office,Is there any chance of getting a RFE after this?
 
We got the interview letter for next month.,I never got a RFE,Can this possport would make any issue? please advuse.
 
I spoke with my attorney,he said that it's not a problem as long as we have a birth certificate,that's Ok. Is this true..Do they check all these information on passport while we go for stamping..Please help
