birthdate discrepancy

hi friends, i have joined recently in the forum. i had read lots of posts and i found it interesting. i would appreciate if anybody can give some suggestions about my problem. i have my incorrect in all of educational records from my school leaving certificate to my medical college in india and therefore in ecfmg. i am yet to take cs. will be taking it soon ( in one week's time). how ever my birthdate in my pass port and visa (multiple entry visitor visa) is different from my birthdate in educational records. i am offered a fellowship position with h1 sponsor at a good university hospital. i would like to know if any body can guide me how to untangle this birthdate issue. thanks. sam.

I had/have same problem and no one has realized it yet
when they realize it then it is typo error and u have to proceed to correct it other wise keep quite. what exactly is the problem with date > ? is it whole month, day and year incorrect ?
to be on safe side get a birth certificate from India and keep with u just in case!
as far as i know it is not big issue
 
hi, thanks. thats what so many people have advised me. you are right. actually its a four month difference (which changes a year). i have my birth certificate with correct birthdate. also have affidavite from magistrate which says that birthdate in my educational records is a typo and my correct birthdate is the one which is in my birth certificate. thanks, let me know what do you think now.sam
