Hi,

This question is regarding birth certificate.

The non-availability certificate that was issued is in Tamil Language and the authorities said they provide in Tamil only. Will it be a problem?

How do I handle this to get English version?. Any ideas.

The parent affidavit is in English.

Please advise me on this.

get it translated..

U can ask u r lawyer about the translation form (I dont remember the form #) or parents and uncles affidavid is fine.

You have to get the form translated by someone who knows Tamil and english and then have to get a letter of accuracy stating that the person translating the birth certificate knows both language and he has done the translation to the best of his ability. The letter should signed by the person who is doing the translation and notorized by a notary.

Please note, the person translating should not be you or your spouse.
