Birth Certificate

When applying for Adjust Status(I-485) do I need the original BC or the one from embassy would suffice? Please advice.

It depends what your embassy is able to give you.

Mine can only supply a short one with just MY details.
That's not good enough. It has to be a full one with your parents info as well.
The embassy could apply for that on my behalf, but it takes 6 months. So I had my sister apply for it in South Africa and send it to me. That takes 6 weeks.

Mine from the embassy has my Name, place and date of birth and parents name. So it should be good enough eh?
