Do you need birth cerificate for applicant only or both applicant and dependand [ spouse]?

All those attending the interview need ,

a) Birth certificates.

If birth certificates are not avilable they can produce the following.

Non-availability certificate + Birth Affidavits (2)

Birth Affidavits can be obtained from the following (in the order of preference)

Mother
Father
Elder siblings
Elder relatives

Now the question is if I get that the date of ISSUE, WILL BE THE PRESENT DATE, SO WILL THAT CAUSE ANY PROBLEM? DO THEY HAVE TO MENTION DUPLICATE COPY OR DO THEY HAVE TO DATE IT BACK TO ORIGINAL DOB :(confused )??? What should be the best possible option.?

From what I read on the forum several candidates have appeared for the interview with birth certificates with current dates. And I have not read
of any problem because of this.

Dating back is not correct.

On top of this birth certificate carry one or two bieth affidavits if you like.

The date on which the BC is issued doesn't matter, it could be today, no problem. but it MUST SAY that it is an "extract from official records" or registers. The original entry in the register must of course be when you were born.

Dear alren/emailraja/raju,
thanks for your reply and vauable help gurus,

My wife doesn't have a BC, I i have following questions please,

Does the stamp paper for the affidavits have to be of particular value?( like 10 ruppees, 20 ruppees stamp paper or any othe value)

Is it necessary to mention the exact name of the hospital/ nursing home( because I think that place is closed few years back) or willl it be ok to mention the city name only if not sure of the name of the hospital?

Does the nonavailability certificate has to be on stamp paper also or the municipal letter head? Does it need to be notarised?

I will really appreciate your help

{Rs. 10 should be OK. But I took mine on Rs.20 stamp paper}

Is it necessary to mention the exact name of the hospital/ nursing home( because I think that place is closed few years back) or willl it be ok to mention the city name only if not sure of the name of the hospital?

{Just mention the city and state if they are not sure about the name of
the hospital}

Does the nonavailability certificate has to be on stamp paper also or the municipal letter head? Does it need to be notarised?

{You have no say on this. They will have some standard format and that
would work. They will not notarize it.}

I will really appreciate your help

{my responses}
