Hello all,

If a candidate is born prior to 1970, is the affadavit mandatory ? birth certificate from muncipality or panchayat enough ? my friend was born in 1966 and his lawyer insisted that he get an affadavit along with the documents that states his birth was never registered. Is it the same case for everyone born prior to 1970 ?

---- if you dont have Birth certifice you need two affidevits on 10 rupees stamp paper signed bofore notary by your parents or elderly relatives AND non -avaliblity certificate from Municipality or registrar of borth or from village panchayat ( should be in english if it is in indian lanuage then Notray can translate in english)

----- Birth certificate from muncipality is accepted I dont know about panchayat if they registar birth
