Birth Certificate Translation

My BC is in hindi. Can we translate our own birth certificate & notarize it?
If not does anyone know of BCIS approved translating services?

Any insight will be appreciated.

You cannot do the translation yourself. Use the services of a Notary in India who is certified to do translations.

You can also get it noterize here in USA. Find a friend who knows Hindi (or the language of BC), get it translated, make him sign in front of Notary and get it noterize.

Better to have a translator who can establish his 'credentials' to translate and submit along with translation,as it will be safe and more authentic.

In fact all three options recommended by nkm, adibazz and participant are correct! Use any one of the three whichever is convenient! It is important to note that once the translation is complete, the translator needs to sign that translated document in the presence of a notary public and then get that translated document notarized by that notary!
