hello,
my birth certificate is from 1984...issued in india...they'd issued two copies, one in hindi, other in english.
it has all the information required but is not a fancy piece of paper that american birth certificates are like. like most documents from 1980s in india, this is just a piece of paper with a state government stamp, city munciplaity name, and name/parents name/etc.
is USCIS going to accept this or would they need something more? should i got my parents to do an affidavit as well...just in case? or do i need to go through the whole process of getting a new birth certificate, which is more 'modern' looking...this would be very difficult as nobody i know lives in the town i was born and i live in the US.
