Birth Certificate Problem

This may sound strange.. but anyway


If some one is not able to get birth certificate from city gov.
(born before 1970 and not registered) and for some reason not
able to get affidivates also, is there an alternate way to support
birth certificate requirement from BCIS. Is it possible to explain the reasons thru a letter to BCIS. Has any one aware of such case.

I submitted 485 with birth certificate from Consulate.

Birth Certificates

I did submit birth certificate issued by the Indian embassy. I did not see any problem with that certificate. In fact Rajiv Khanna suggested me to take certificate from the embassy. Why are you worrying?
 
I did not submit the BC either

But supported with a Non-availability certificate from a magistrate of the town I was born. The my lawyer asked to support that with affidavits from close relatives. I got approved and got my plastic as well.

In this process when I inquired my lawyer metioned that the certificate you get from Indian consulate/embassy is not valid. So I dont know if there any other alternatives.
