Birth certificate problem please urgent help

Hi all,
I am facing a problem, i sent all the required documents to the NVC as they requested, they replied back that they seek for the original birth certificate, although i've send an extract from the original birth certification from the specialized issuing authority, but i forgot to certify it from the government! , is it may be the reason that they demand for the original one?! i am confused now, please help me with this...

Hmm, kinda surprizing cz I did not sent my birth certificate to NVC, needed to take it to consulate though.
