I have an issue with my birth certificate. I was born in Oct 1975 and my birth was registered in Jun 1977. My birth certificate was issues in Apr 1978. My lawyer says that this birth certificate is not acceptable and I need affidavits (from surviving parents or close relatives) to validate the certificate. Is this a true statement?
If so, my only surviving parent is traveling out of my home country and will not be able to produce the required affidavits till he returns back (2 months). In such a situation, can I get the necessary affidavits from my close relatives here in the USA?
