Birth Certificate in native Language

Hello,

In my friend\'s wife\'s BC, her parent\'s name and the place of Birth is written in Tamil (Native Language). Wife\'s name and DOB are in English. Do they need to get an affidavit?

Any one with similar experience?

we have ours without a single English word (the same for marriage certificate)... so we did a notarized translation...

I had similar situation and my lawyer asked me to get the translation notarized back home (India).

Another option if you want to consider. I had my wife\'s birth certificate translated and notorized from an agency in US. The cost was $70. I\'ll find out the details if you want me to.

I did notarized translation in USA (which was a silly decision just because of cost in my country it \'d be 10 times cheaper)
