Birth Certificate for GC Initial Interview

I received my GC appointment last week and this came with a checklist of documents that I must bring to the interview. Some of them specify "Unless already submitted."

In my application packet I submitted my birth certificate along with a certified English translation. Now, they want me to bring these documents again to the interview along with another certified English translation (It does not say "Unless already submitted right next to it)

My question is: Can I bring a photocopy of both my birth certificate and the translation? (Maybe they can corroborate with the original I sent to USCIS). Please any knowledge will be appreciated because having to come up with another expense would be a hardship.

Thanks Again,

You're supposed to send a copy with the application, and bring the original to the interview. You did the reverse. You better hope they still have the original. You should order another original from your country, since you're probably not going to get back the original from USCIS.

Thanks Jackolantern. Getting another original shouldn't be too much problem. Can I bring a photocopy of the translation though?

You should bring another non-photocopy certified translation to the interview, in case they don't have the original on hand.
