I have been asked by my attorneys to submit Affidavits from my parents as a response to an RFE from the INS. I am wondering if the affidavits have to be on a Stamp Paper or it can just be on regular paper duly attested by a notary.

Your responses will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

No, it has to be on stamp paper

I think it has to be on stamp paper and Notarized, this is what my lawyer told me.

I used BC from Consulate

i used a BC from indian consulate. got no RFE and got approval
I think it depeneds on the office. you will require 2 affidavits . I had them on a stamp paper from india but did not have to use them

No Title

I submitted my regular birth certificate. However, my Mom\'s name is shown as her maiden name and not her full married name.

go to www.immihelp.com for affidavit format.

basically they need a birth cirtificate which has name of both
your parents. If your BC do not have name of you father and mother mentioned , then you need affidavit.
