Since my birth certificate does not have a name, a new certificate was obtained recently from the corporation in India. This new certificate has an issue date that is recent, and is not dated around the time of birth. Would this pose a problem? Thanks.

It should be OK,if all other data in the cert. is correct.

Not a legal advise.

No problemo

it is ok if the birth certificate issue date is recent. I had mine issued in 2001 from City corporation.

Some people have received RFE for this. Just in case prepare the affidavit from parents and keep it ready..

Thanks for the useful replies.

- One general question regarding I-485. If there is an RFE for say the birth certificate, will this delay the EAD and AP? Would the USCIS put the EAD and AP on hold until the RFE is answered? I am specifically thinking of concurrent I-140 and I-485 submission, together with EAD and AP application.

- If parent's name is misspelled in the birth certificate, would this cause a problem?

Thanks.

For concurrent filers only the I140 application (no BC as part of the doc list) is perused before EAD or AP is issued. I485 doc related RFEs dont affect EAD /AP processing.
a Typo is unlikely to produce a RFE generally.
