Biometrics CODE 2

Folks!

I have read a lot about the Biometrics and back to the SQ1.

I got the Biometric CODE2 request from NSC and i am in sanjose CA. My GC has been pending from March 2004 and the PD is: 05/19/2003 EB2 category.

Q:
1. What is this Step Means?
2. Any significance though the Visa Numbers are not available?
3. The FBI check is done already with the first FP? or they are going to do right now?

Biometric Code 2 too

I got a biometric code 2 letter in the mail too for I-485. I am with NSC and am based out of Twin Cities. My notice date is july 2003.
I had just gone for biometrics a month ago for my EAD renewal.


what does a second biometrics for I-485 mean?

any help is appreciatred

Code 2 is for biometrics only (index FP and photo)
Code 1 is the regular 10 finger FP
and Code 3 is both.

Most biometric notices are Code 2 if your current prints are still "valid" - else its code 3.

My 10 finger prints were taken almost 2 years ago.
I had an index finger print taken a month ago as part of
my EAD renewal process.

Are these codes for Figureprint Notice or Biometrics Notice? I received a Biometrics Notics("figureprint" does not appear) with Code 1 - so strange!
