Biometrics at Sep 9th

Hi All,

As you know persons who win the diversity lottery are supposed to adjust their status in the same Fiscal Year. If for whatever reason, including processing delays, they do not adjust by the end of the fiscal year, they are unable to obtain lawful permanent resident status.
We won the lottery but our visa number became current on August. I submitted the Adjustment of Status Application Form I-485 and it was recived by USCIS on July 27th. We, my self, my wife and our 2 children, were given an appointment to do the biometrics on September 9th. Yet, we didn't receive anything about the interview. by the time we do the biometrics, we will have 15 business days which is very short period to do the interview and to have the Card Production Ordered. So, Do you think it's possible to get it >> Is there any way to expedite the process

Submit the pacage to USCIS: july 24
Received by USCIS: July 27
Notice of Action (Recpt): Aug 6
Biometrics Letter: Aug 23
Biometrics Apt. : Sep 9
Interview: ?????
CPO: ????
Green card: ????
All other process should be before: Sep 30

can you add a little bit more information about your case number. My case number is 20*** so it will be great to know a little bit more about your case detail.

I am still undecided whether to AOS or cp. But all the best to you.

asia2010,
i suggest you do a walk-in biometric. go to the asc that you are supposed to do your bio and walk-in without appt. give a good excuse. normally they are more free in the afternoon. time is running out. don't wait till sept 9. after your bio ... then you will receive your interview letter. you have little time left. so do whatever it takes to hasten things up.

does your case# start with 2010
