Biometrics appointment

Hi all - does anybody have any experience in rescheduling the biometrics (fingerprints and photo) appointment? is it difficult? Does it cause a significant delay in obtaining the GC? Is it worth doing everything possible to keep the original appointment or is it relatively flexible?

I work in a not so large city in CA. The place which performs biometrics in this city has indeed friendly people. They are always willing to help you. We had no problem in changing the date. They even offered to prepone the date if was convenient for us! I have no idea how it works in big/metro ares. Hope this helps.
