Biometric for I 485

FP code 3 done for myself, Spouse on 10/11/05

We didn't recieved biometric notice for my son (12 y and 5 month old). I checked up with ASC and USCIS that below 12 y and 9 month needs only biometric picture and signature and we will get notice for him.

I am worried, why we didn't recieved biometric notice for him? As he do not need finger print, they will send letter. The calling centre representative do not have perfect information and just replying, " you will get it"

Shall I have to wait or write a letter to USCIS?

I think bjorn has did lot of research for this. please reply me.

Your son will not receive any notice for biometric, because you already gave CIS his photo when you submitted his I485 application. This picture will show up in his green card.
 
Another possible scenario is that you will receive code 2 Biometrics notice for your son after your (and his) I-485 are approved. That means that he will get his plastic card a bit later than you and your spouse.
Do not worry, he is gonna be fine.
