Best way to extend H4 visa

In an unusual spot currently.

In January I married my then fiance and applied to change her visa from a B2 to a H4 dependent visa.

At the start of June I was laid off. I was fortunate enough that my company set my termination date at the end of my severance period. I manged to find another company who I joined on July 1st. They used premium processing to extend and transfer my visa. My visa was due to run out on September 30 but is fine now for another 3 years.

My question is what should I do with my wife's H4 application. Is there a way to amend it so she could get it extended as part of the current application???

Is your wife's H-4 application pending? In that case wait for the application to get approved. Later you can extend that before it expires.

Yes it is pending. My original visa was up this September. Ideally, I'd like her to come to my country this Christmas. She'll need to get everything sorted by then.

Theres no way then to alter the existing application?
 
Amending the application takes the same time as a new application. So if the H-4 is already filed it's better to wait. When that was filed?
 
It was filed at the end of January.
Sounds like she won't get the extension till after Christmas then :(
