My attorney lives in Boston and my case was transferred to Newark. So I hired Attorney Anthony Siliato at Meyner and Landis, One Gateway Center, Newark, NJ, 973-624-2800 for the interview. They are o.k.

in Pa

I agree with you. They delay everything. They requested me to fill forms for I-485 application during Oct. 01. I filled all the forms and mailed them. Then they sat on the forms for 2 months before submitting to INS.
Also, most of the times their recommendations are not to your advantage. They have a tendency to screw up things. Just avoid them.

My lawyer is also Anthony Siliato in Newark and he is very thorough. Very good lawyer indeed but costly.

FromHyd , could you please tell me how costly is he for the interview?

Don't forget Jim Mills. I have no personal experience (my company uses Fragomen), but he has posted here with very competent answers.

If I were in NJ I would definitely take Jim Mills. I think he has offices in north and Central Jersey. He also mentioned he visits Camden frequently. He is one of the finest lawyer who answers question very promptly. He always tell you what is right not just what you want to hear.

I agree. Fragomen, Delray is terrible. My GC application never left their desk for 2 years. They are the source of all my delays. They made endless expensive trips (6 to be precise) to my company over a 2 year time period and each time kept asking me the same stupid questions i.e. do I want to go through RIR or EB1 or EB2 and how many publications I had etc. EB2 was a no brainer and I might have even qualified for EB1. Just then, my company luckily hired a new legal assistant and she told me that she never liked working with Fragomen Delray for GC applications and only used them for H1B Visas. She and my company then changed the law firm they worked with for GC applications to Honigman Miller and Schwartz and since then , things have been proceeding quite smoothly.

attorney charges are $250/hour and I think paralegal is $90/hour. My company paid $500 to him for the interview. I still didn't get the final bill from them.

FDBL will only use a paralegal to answer your questions. Only in extreme cases will a lawyer answer your questions. They are arrogant too. A good way to handle them is by showing them that you understand the process. Again since the company hires them, they do not normally respond well to a individual's queries. I have heard, that they are often told by companies to delay a case for lack of immediate funds etc.

I heard that sheela murthy is good, if she is your attorney why don't you keep her instead of hiring another one.
I know Anthony Siliato for a week during that time they returned my calls promptly and they reviewed my case. Good luck.

Thanks
