BCIS after a long time has given a little pickup on Processing
I-485 Cases. A bunch of 5 Approvals for EAC-02-091 Series is the Highlight.

But Feb'02 folks...your time has not really come....Only 40% of overall Jan'02 cases are touched and there are still plenty of Oct/Nov/Dec'01 Cases in Queue. Around August 1st week...BCIS will post their processing date as 01/15/02.

As far as today's Feb Approvals...this is how it works....

'A' Officers gets Assigned cases RD date between 01-10
'B' Officers gets Assigned cases RD date between 11-20
'C' Officers gets Assigned cases RD date between 21-30

Right from the Beginning, 'C' Officers are faster than 'B' Officers who are little faster than 'A' Officers.. So there is no need to get excited about some Feb Approvals showing up.

:)

magesh_kk,

You analysis or info seems logical.

I have seen Jan30 people get approved around a couple of weeks ago and Jan 03-04 cases approved only this week.

Is there any pattern or any info from your internal source on who sends more RFEs

---C officers or A officers

Thanks

Here is my analysis of 110 series. This shows that officers probably are assigned a range of EACs. Let us assume a range of 500 numbers. The analysis show that some officer might be faster than others -

Start EAC, End EAC, Cases, Approved, Approved %
50000--------50499--------64--------6--------9.38
50500--------50999--------56--------15--------26.79
51000--------51499--------37--------12--------32.43
51500--------51999--------42--------10--------23.81
52000--------52499--------15--------2--------13.33
52500--------52999--------55--------5--------9.09
53000--------53499--------38--------1--------2.63
53500--------53999--------50--------4--------8.00
54000--------54499--------21--------1--------4.76

However, you will notice that the absolute number of EACs in each range is not even. Therefore, it is more likely that they get assigned absolute number of cases (may be 100 or so). Even then the first two officers have process around 20 cases each of 110 series, while the next two officers are only in their single digits.

magesh_kk,

Do you think the processing time will improve drasmatically after they finish March? People talk about this on several forums.

Thanks,

How do you explain the March case

Magesh_kk how do you explain the March case approved today ?
