BC Question

I received my Interview letter today and after turning my house upside down I seemed to have misplaced my original Birth Certificate. I have a copy of it and I also have an affidavit on official paper with stamps and stuff from an uncle stating he knows my parents and was present at the time of my birth and attests to the truthfulness of my birth details.

Do you think a copy of the BC and this affidavit should do for the interview. I am kinda worried, cos the last thing I need is a denial of GC because of this reason. Any other alternatives anyone can suggest would be appreciated.

Get a BC from your mom or your embassy.

I had to do that as well, at the end, they didn't ask for it, but I did not want to risk it.

Thanks for the answer --- do they accept the embassy version of the BC --- because that would be much easier. My mom does not have my BC, I had it with me and misplaced it --- I have a copy of it.
