I do not have a bc. From the postings I gather that I need to prepare two affidavits from parents/close relatives and also get a Non-availibility certificate from municipality. My problem is that I was born in a village where there is no municipal bodies. The only thing that i know is gram panchayat. I can get a letter from them saying his birth was not registered. My question is - will this be acceptable? Or should I try to get from the nearest local district town.

I was also born in a village. I got the non-availability certificate from local Panchayat office and got
Two affidavits from my parents. I am not sure whether I need to get non-availability from the Mandal
Office. If you are born after April, 1970, you better register your birth and get the certificate.
