Is there anybody who has submitted BC (Birth Certificate) from Consulate while filing for I485 and got approved without BC RFE???

Thanks,

bishma, Kanadian and blinkingstar,
I am thankful to you guys.
If it happens I will be happy and definately throw a party for you. :D

Actually I am worried about this BC RFE and hoping that Officer will miss this BC while working on my file.
I have submitted BC from Consulate and wanted to know if there is anybody with this kind of approval.

So far nothing has happened after my FP on 12/03 but I was expecting something... :D

We all are close to approval Guys.

Looking to our details, there are activities on our files in December.
So we can have Christmas/New Year Gift. :)

If i were u, i would work on getting my affadavits,BC from muncipality, etc and keep all docs ready in order to reply with te RFE.

Cheers

Tanjar

Exactly!!! Don't even hope for approval with the certificate from consulate..I think it has been specifically stated somewhere on USCIS site that certificate from consulate is not acceptable document.

I am working on that ...

Actually I am ready with affidavits but getting non-availability certificate is a real tough part.
So praying to GOD for that.
Keeping my finger crossed. :)

I am one of those lucky guys to get approved with BC from Consulate !!!!

Lakshya, I got approved with BC from SFO Consulate.

If you go by the messages on this site and others, BC from consulate is not acceptable. It may be supporting/ secondary evidence but not primary evidence.

However, I got approved with BC from Consulate. But I was prepared with affidavit and Non-availibility certificate from Municipal corporation in case I got RFE. Probably the the BC was overlooked.

I would advise - Be prepared for RFE and hope for the best !

At least there are people...

So there is hope.....:) Thanks anupjethra

Anyway I just green land report and didn't find my LIN number.
then I logged on and found that error message..
Must be Officer has done something and now changing my LUD (hope so).

tanjar & jahanpanah :
It seems you are very close to approvals.

Thanks,

Lakshya, I got approved without a BC RFE too. So did my spouse. Both of us had birth certificates issued from the consulate, but we also had affidavits of birth from both parents. Good luck. If you don't get an RFE, that would be great.

485 ND: May 1, 2003 EB3
RFE (EVL) generated on: 11/23/2004
RFE response received by USCIS: 12/09/2004
485 AD: 12/14/2004

Thanks gchopeful2005

When I came to know about this kind of RFE,
After 16 months of submitting I 485 I got affidavits for us but kept with me.
Now working on non-availibility letter from municipal corporation.

As you mentioned You had affidavits..
Do you mean that you submitted those affidavits with I485 OR
you had affidavits ready (like me) after submitting I 485??

Lakshya,

I am also one of the guys who got approved without a BC.
All I had submitted was the high school certificate that just mentions the DOB and nothing else. However, after I filed I-485, I had obtained all the required affidavits and certificates as I was very sure of getting a RFE for the BC. Interestingly, my case was trasfered to a local office for interview and the officer did not even once mention anything about the BC. The only thing she seemed to be interested in was my current employment letter and my H1B approval notices.
