I over stayed my visa as a child in the US (12 years) I was deported in 1999 giving a 10 year bar. I came back to Belgium and I never did think to ever go back to the US until lately. Would I have to go to the US Embassy to get a special kind of visa? Or there is no chance even after 10 years are up? I read online some saying no chance and others saying you need to file for a visa and have a process. So not really sure?

My ban is already over for 3 years.

You have to apply for a visa for the US. If you have ties to Belgium like a job, assets, family, etc., your chances are good. At what age did you enter and leave the US? That also has a lot to do with your situation. If you were a minor the entire time, there's very little against you.

Entered at age 11 and left at age 23. I do have a job, and a wife. No assets just a car for now. I might buy a house next year or so.
