Bank Statements......

I have the last three months bank statements that i recieve every month in the mail. However, I thought of taking a consolidated bank statement,which I took 2 years ago for free. Bank of America has changed the procedure now.. They say it will cost $50 for my statement, and that too it will take 5 more business days for them send it. I have applied it 10 days ago, and today when I called back they are saying the above story of $50 and all...

Since I have only 3 more business days to go, before I leave to India, Do you think it is prudent for me spend $50 without even knowing if I can get them before I leave.....

Aren\'t the last 3 months statements enough?
 
Why create unnecessary requirements?

The consolidated statement is not asked for. The only purpose that bank statement serves is as evidence of what you state on I-134. Infact, if you are not supporting any dependents, you don\'t even need bank statement, property statement, 401(k), etc. Please realize where a need for particular document stems from...this will avoid confusion to future CPers. If you have special case, it would be prudent to include a background so that others can understand.

In short, don\'t worry about getting the consolidated statement. the usual bank statements are enough. good luck!
 
Regualr Bank Statememts are GOOD

Why do you wanna make your life more stressed than it is already with GC prep?
All you need to show is your cash balance (if asked) and your bank statements suffice. Even a printout from the internet banking will do. But statements that BOA sends to you are enough.

Think of WHY does consulate want some doc? Then see if you can reasonably satisfy that requirement. It is not that compex.

In the present case they want to see your cash standing and 3 months statements are enough.
 
Dont stress

Chances are they won\'t even ask for bank statements, I wasn\'t asked. But carry it coz its the requirement. Don\'t bother about consolidated letter, tho I got it free within 15 minutes from Wells Fargo Bank.

Relax and take it easy U have other issues to worry abt. 3 months statements are just fine, that is what I took along with me
