Bank Statement Question CP Gurus please answer

I am going for interview in Chennai in end of Jan 2002, I have a joint account for me and my wife, one of my friend told that we have to take a bank statement stating we have an account from x-date till now with an average balance of XXX.XX. My bank gave me statement for the current numbers for current date will it be sufficient? or are there any particular pattern we have to follow. Gurus please answer.Thanx in advance

If possible take Current Balance & Average balance statement

It is good to have an Average Balance statement for at least 3 months(not mandatory). What I took had this format.

Customer since mm/dd/yyy

Checking account Ave Balance $xxxx current Balance $xxxx
Shares account Ave Balance $xxxx current Balance $xxxx
Certificate Deposit account Ave Balance $xxxx current Balance $xxxx

Apart from this have monthly statements for all these accounts for last 3 motnhs. It will be perfect.

If one has a bank statement as mentioned by Rajbound, do we also have to submit last recent 3 bank s

Or is it just good enought to submit the Bank letter with all the following details in it.
- Account Opening date
- Current balances & type of account.
- Avg. yearly balance.

That should suffice....

But if you have the last three months stements why not carry them? .... Just in case...
You don\'t want a small technicality holding up your GC process..do you?

In the situation where you DO NOT have the stements then there is no option you will have to do with what you have..

I just had the Bank statements for 3 months and she did not even ask to see it!

same here.... as long as u have the letter from the bank , they dont even bother to ollk at the statements...

but then what does it take to just carry it when it is just lying there in your own home...!!
