GOOD JOB!!! But anyone knows how many interviews INS Baltimore scheduling every month.From the list I see just 1 or at the max 2. at this rate, people who got transferred in June shall get thier interviews in 6-7 months from now.
Do you think this is the case?Share your views

u know what worries is not TD OR ID, its the number of cases being taken up in a month.
Do you observer it too. This way t can take up long time for scheduling of interviews.

   Great Job. I agree at this rate it is going to be a looooong wait before we get anywhere. Should we try to do something to speed things up?
  I dont know what exactly (Maybe petition with senator) but just want to see if anybody has any ideas.

I\'m afraid that after crisis situations I\'ve been through like "H visa cap reached", "I-140 processing on hold for months at VSC", "VSC clerical backlog", "EAD card producing machine broken", etc. etc. now we are facing the "Baltimore local office inundated with many more transfers than it can handle" situation. I hope I am wrong and trust that as officers return from their vacation things will be speeding up (as my transfer notice said BTW) very soon.

What I don\'t get is, if they cannot handle the number of case they get in Baltimore, why are they transferring them. Everyone I know who got the green cards, just received approvals.. None of this transferring to local office stuff.
If INS is backlogged, why are they passing laws that allow anyone who is illegal to qualify...Will this not increase the workload ? It does not make sense. All this is making everyone else processes take much longer.

At this point we do not know whether they can handle it. It has been just 2-3 months when the big wave of transfers started.
I have been to the Baltimore office a couple of times, and I never saw long lines and big crowd that people experienced at other local offices. The Baltimore office indeed seems to have less workload than some others and in this sense it indeed makes sense to transfer some cases there. The question is whether they calculated the resources properly and whether the procedures are appropriate for the task. Specifically, it appears that all the Baltimore transferees will be interviewed, which I guess takes longer time than making a decision without an inteview and calling in people only when something is needed.

My application (also EB-1)was transferred to Baltimore INS on May 17...probably the next mailing batch after yours and gmc01. I saw an interview date of 08/08/01 for an Apr 27 transferee on this forum. So it looks like the next wavw of interview dates might only be towards Aug end or even Sep...unless the speed picks up at the local office !! It looks like they are doing one VSC mailing batch per month. I don\'t understand why they are so slow.

What I feel the way Baltimore INS processes the applications is by the receipt date of application from Vermont but not the transfer date or 485 RD or ND at VSC. They only go by the receipt date of the application at their office. That is why there are still so many Apr 27th transfer cases who did not receive interview letter yet. If we know the receipt date of application at baltimore, we may get a clear picture in what way they are processing. I applied my 485 in Aug\'2000 but my case was transfered on Apr 27th along with others who applied in Sept, Oct\'2000. My receipt date at Baltimore is May\'15th. I think GMC or Tushar Shah\'s will be ahead of mine eventhough all os us got trnasfered around the same date.
This is what I beleive. So Let us wait. I agree with Macika that Baltimore INS is much better not. Hope we all get ours soon. I think there is nothing to get tensed as even if our case is at Vermont, it would have taken the same time. We haven\'t yet seen any Sept case approvals as of today even at VSC, but if we see that way for GMC/Tushar Sha though applied in Sept Aug the interview is scheduled. SO it is going almost the same spped or little ahead of VSC. SO why do we worry when we know we have to wait with our RD/ND even at Vermont. There are still people with RD/ND March waiting at Vermont, so I feel it is just luck. Let us pray for our turn.

Excellent database Anastomosis. This helps to keep track of your turn if people get back and posttheir interview dates and experiences. I have the same transfer date as yours...May 17 to Baltimore.

Good thought Karri...we can take the congresman route if Baltiomore falls way behind VSC. Right now it is moving at the same speed or even faster in most cases with approvals. So lets keep our fingers crossed.

Can you please take the list prepared by Anastomosis and convert it into the WONDERFUL Table you had prepared earlier as a sample or test. This would help all of us reading the list better as it could be arranged in the order of TD or something meaningful.

Has anyone had any luck contacting a congressman about their case. Is this productive ? I hear people talking about it on the boards a lot, but I have not heard anything good or bad.
With the IT market the way it is...this waiting is scary...
Has anyone seen any Feb or march transfer cases..It seems that the only ones here are April, May and June..
Do you know if you can get a status on the phone or do you physically have to be there ?
