I Just talked with an IIO at VSC and she said that Baltimore office received my case on 06/19/01. My case was transferred from VSC on 05/17/01. Probably 06/19 is the date baltimore entered my case into thier system. I just wanted to share this info with you all.

Why such a discrepancy of almost one month plus when TD differs only by one day. Any clue ???

Does this means my case which is transferred on 06/04 might not have been entered into BAL computer at all ???

I called BAL ( 410-962-2118) and was told that they have my file. But they were not ready to tell me other details like when did they enter it in their computer or when did they actually receive it. They wanted me to either write to get the detail or visit the office personally...

Strange Behaviour of BAL !!!!!!

I Agree with you as to the discrepency. I think at the rate they are scheduling it will be about 3-4 months before they schedule an interview.

Hi,
I called IIO at VSC and the poor lady could not give me any additional information, other than the date my case was requested to be transferred to Baltimore which is my TD. I asked her specificly if she could tell me the date Baltimore recevied my case and she said that she can\'t tell me any of the details as she does not have it...
So, basically I wasted 20 minutes in calling up VSC. I guess I would write BAL sometimes next week, to get the same info.
Just want to share this with you....

Thanks for taking the time to call VSC.

To the rest of you Baltimore Transferees,

I hope you could also take time to call the same so that we would have more information to analyze with. I guess by doing so, we would be able to somehow project who will be next in line for the interview. Would also help you possible delays in your case, like some guys who were declared transferred by VSC on Feb but their papers were received by Baltimore after 4 months.

You wouldn\'t know until you call.

Did you check with Baltimore as to when your case was received? The date you posted was what VSC told you. Just wanted to check if the two dates matched. If they match then I think you should be up for interview pretty soon as they tend to schedule interviews in ~90 days after they receive it.

My Case was tranfered on: 06/04/2001
Received/Entered into their system: 06/23/2001

I went there long time back and asked IO there When did you receive my case . She feteched my record on her m/c and said on 23rd of July\'01

Received date is correct ie 06/23/2001 . I went there 2nd of july\'01 and She gave me all details about my case after fetching my file on her m/c .

Do you have any idea when i will getting interview letter ......

Guys, you really need to call VSC

Just want you guys to know that I received a letter from VSC stating the date they transfer my case to Baltimore and the date their system shows when Baltimore received the paper. In other words they just confirmed what they said on the phone. They transfered it on 5/18 and
Baltimore received in on 5/24. Received this letter because the IIO asked me if I want a letter and of course I said yes.

I\'ll be bringing this letter with me when I go on Baltimore to inquire about my case.

To the rest of you fellow Baltimore Transferees who hasn\'t called VSC yet, I highly advise you to do so, so that you\'ll have a bit of idea what stage you are in now.

I have just cleared my I-140 and have the option of going CP or I-485.
In this context I want to know what is this transfer to Baltimore? Is it to be applied for or INS does it on it\'s own? Who is eligible to apply for it? Also, does it anyway speed up the process?
I would appreaciate if you could answer these questions.

IF you\'re under VSC and you live in Maryland, chances are that your case will be transfered to the Baltimore Local office.

Generally speaking, it will make the process faster but in some cases it will not. Just to give you an idea, I started my 485 on Nov. 00 and hopefully, not more than 2 months from now, will get the GC.
