Baltimore Case- Question Regarding RFE

My 485 was approved two week back after Interview in Baltimore.
An RFE was issued for my wife regarding birth cert. we replied immediately
and we got an receipt yesterday stating it might take five more months to
give a final decision on her case.

Is it a routine reply or does it really take such a long time ?

By the way, I am the primary applicant and my wife is a derivative.

Anyone who had similar experience please reply...

You have said that 485 was approved

but still an RFE was issued.If it is approved don\'t they stamp the passport right there during the interview.

Same Birth Cert. Problem

I had an interview on Aug. 29, 2001. The case is holding because my birth cert. I submitted was not accepted, which was not officially typed. Now I\'m waiting the new one from China. The officer told me she was going to send me approvement letter after she receives my acceptable birth cert., though I may get a letter to say that I may need to wait another 30-90 days for their final decision.

Would you please let me know more detail about your birth cert. I came from China too. Why is your birth unacceptable? I just got my notarized birth cert from china few days ago? Is that acceptable?

Birth Cert.

The unacceptable one I submitted was written by my father and sealed by local government. Your notarized birth cert. should be O.K.. My friends got approved with notarized ones without any problem. I\'m trying to get one from China now.
