Bad Stamping Experience at SFO

I decided to go today to San Francisco to get my passport stamped.
But when I reached at 630 Sansome Street, I was told that they have stopped letting people for stamping through this entry and I will have to
go to 444 Washington Street and since it is closed today, I will have to come
back again tomorrow.

Anybody had this experience

I think Sansome St entry is only for asylum, refugee related. Washington St entry is the correct entry.

Actually the notice said to go to 630 Sansome Street and the officer standing there also agreed that they used to allow such cases earlier but now they have stopped them completely
