Bad experience at local infopass

Lots of people want the EAD fast so they can start working quickly; they're not going to process your faster than them just because you have a job offer.

You don't have the right to get the EAD expedited unless it has been 90 days since you applied. Sorry, but you just have to wait. However, that guy you spoke to was acting like an ignorant jackass.

If you have a job offer, you could get your EAD application expedited. I did it for my son last year. What I did was to call USCIS and was able to get to a second level officer who put in the request. Later I got an email asking for proof of the job offer and they gave me a fax number to fax it to. We got the EAD in the mail within a week even though the application was submitted less than one month before I asked for it to be expedited.

Why post if you don't want other's opinion. I think it is rude to delete your post that's already being responded to!!!

That's interesting. This is the first case I heard of where they expedited it before the 90 days.

Well, initially I was sharing an experience at the infopass, in which the guy told me "Listen, since you haven't had your interview, you won't get your EAD. Green card first, then they will give you the EAD"
Then I realize that the mere fact that I disclosures my attempts to expiate my EAD upsets people on the forum. SInce I don't really need to ask anything or any help in my original post, I decided to deleted it.

Agreed. qianzheng, please don't do that again.
My original post if you like, I didn't ask any question, just told a story.
-------------------------

was told that my favorite job would not be offered, unless I can be sure to start end of july.

So I decided to go to local infopass to check out options for EAD speed-up.
The guy at the window first told me he couldn't help me on this. I had to go to the processing center (in Missorri, and I'm in NY) to ask for it.
Then he asked me if I had interview already, I told him NO? he said I had to have a green card first then the work permit.
I told him "Ugh........but but but...." Then he started to told me "the key is patience!" Just when I wanted to try to tell him that EAD came before the greencard and that's the purpose of issuing the EAD....He started to repeat "Just be patience" and whatever he said before in a shorter (unfortunately, more mistaken) way.

I thanked him (had to, don't want him to be pissed), then walk out with his voice of "be patient" echoing behind me....
PS: the whole process, there was a guy looks like a supervisor standing behind and it seemed that he was a bit sympathetic, well, he didn't say anything....

Thank you qianzheng. If you still need help expediting your EAD application, read my response above. If you truly have a job offer that will be jeopardize if you do not receive your EAD, I think USCIS will expedite it for you. (I believe they have a discretion -- humanitarian??).
