Backround check interview/oath

I had my interview a week ago. Everythink went good although at the end ins officer told me that she would have to wait to get some kind of backround clearance from FBI. She did not give me any estimate time. Although now I am very worried as I don't know how long would it talk to get aproval.
Anybody in the same shure?
 
I had my interview in end of July 2003 and am still waiting. Hopefully yours will not take that long.
 
This situation is outrageous. Why do they call you for an interview before all fbi checks are complete?

Did any new information come to light at the interview?
 
someone posted that in an earlier thread that they were
able to call the fbi and verify that the check went thru... pls refer
that and see if u can

Jitender, its good they things in parallel. imagine if u waited
6 months for FBI check and then 1 year for interview!!!
 
I was interviewed in first week of july and no signs of oath letter.

i am in NY area which makes my time frame worst. from fingerprinting to interview. and once again its gonna be long wait again for oath letter.
