Backlog reduced by 40,000 in Nov 05

Lame excuse called backlogs !!!

Some funny numbers there, but bottom line: 124K more completed than received.. I am optimistic. Heck, I've waited for 7 years, I can wait for a few more.

Folks my question is what causes backlog??? If you do your job on time as you are paid to do shouldn't cause backlogs in the first place. I know USCIS will say lack of manpower issue. Well if that's the case why they don't hire more people??? They are charging us a heck lot of money for all case processing but when it comes to the point of processing those cases we all hear all those lame excuses. Don't make no sense.

I think we are very lucky that this 10k limit is over and now we all can get our GC soon. I know many of my friends who are on H1B and they get their GC's in 4 years. I used to wonder...wow and i'll get mine in 7-8 years. But thanks to removal of limit on Asylee's , i got mine in exactly 4 years; same time as them. From now on i am in same boat as them . I love this country.
Having said that, i adviced you before also to send a letter to INS directly, Fax them if possible or talk to them. I am telling you from my personal experience, I waited for 4 months for my GC and finally got it only after a kind officer looked at my case. I do't know what worked because i wrote a letter and also spoke an officer who opened a query on my case.
The point is don't be a passsimist; be happy and most important keep trying. Good luck

Are you still able to access your 485 case online now ? Between your approval and your actual receiving GC card, did you notice any LUD online status ?

Did CIS return one copy of I-693 ( medical ) to you ( Applicant's copy )?
 
Grassroot, i was not able to access my account the day after my I-485 was approved. and that's when the problem started. I had to wait for 4 months before someone looked into it and fixed the problem. Not only did i receive my GC but i am now able to access to my case status online.
Why would CIS return a copy of I-693 to me? I saved a copy for myself when i sent it. My doctor actually gave me a copy.

Asylee13, thanks for reply. My doctors ( actually two different persons ) insisted CIS would return a copy to me and they did not give a copy to me even after I repeatedly ask it !

So your online access was locked up after your approval... Was that caused by your forgetting password or something ? The who eventially was the key figure to solve this ?

Is your GC now backdated as Sept 2004 or Dec 2004 ?

Then Doctor had a reason not to give u a copy :confused: ;) Go and tell to the doctor as if INS or U lost Medical and they need a another copy.then he is gonna tell u real reason or he is gonna give u a copy.
