Backlog Elimination Report

Thanks for the links, but as I see, there is nothing for asylee adjustments there. It even says that the I-485 in general became slower than it was before. Grew for 21.2 to 21.7 months. The RTD figures look better though.
Not much for us, unfortunately.

I agree.Nothing about us.Yeh.They began to issue EAD faster. But not a big deal since we don't need EAD any more.I wonder how they gonna eliminate the backlog if they have a limit of 10000 per year?

Technically, there is no backlog as far as Asylee adjustment is concerned, since the backlog was created by the 10,000 visa limit. Congress set this rule up knowing it would slow down the process for adjustments. Tis is harsh and unimaginable, but this is how some members of congress view it.

I wrote my Congressman and Senator and was basically told that most people in Congress feel the 10,000 limit is fair and does not cause harm. And I'm not surprised, since these folks will never be able to understand what we go through. It is truly enraging!

So to answer your question, there will be a delay/backlog in Asylee adjustments as long as there is a limit - whether its 10,000 a year or 25,000 a year.
