Does anybody know how the background check works? I recently had an interview in Toronto and was told that Clearence and FBI fingerprint checks are required. I am wondering if these two checks are processed concurrently or the Consulate first waits for the FBI result and then request the clearence check.
I called FBI fingerprints office and was told that they had processed the request from Toronto consulate on Feb 8th. I called the Toronto Consulate yesterday and they told me that they have not received the fingerprint check yet. If the clearence is done after fingerprint check, that means I have to sit tight for another 4-5 weeks.
Does anybody know how long is it taking for both the checks in Toronto?
