Back to School after getting Green Card

Hi,
    Does anyone on this board know if a person can go back to school (full-time) a month or two after receiving approval for I-485. What are the risks involved ? The employer is willing to let go of the person on amicable terms !

Does INS check the employment records of 6 months after getting the GC at the time of citizenship ?

Any responses would be greatly appreciated !

If the employer terminates the employment right after GC it does not matter at all but if you leave before 90 days then there may be an issue, I don\'t exactly know what wrong can happen but usually it is advisable to keep the same job for 90 days.

You can do anything you want. Stay home, work, go to school or all the above.
There is no restriction, except staying out of the country for extended time.

Do you mean that the difference is between the employer "terminating" the job versus the employee "leaving" ?
