back ground check for case i130 (wife)

Hi, I received a response to the Congressional Inquiry launched with the California Service Center. The I129F/I130 are currently pending with our background check unit and remain pending until the background issues are resolved. The congressional unit is prohibited in interfering with cases pending background checks and there is no expedite handling. You may submit a follow up inquiry after 90 days if so desired.

Apply I130 June 2006 status (Green card)
Case update October 2007 become a USA citizen
July 2008 received 2nd evidence
August 01, 2008 submit 2nd evidence and also send k3 application.
September 18, 2008 received email from uscis. (follow up through congress man)
Case is pending for back ground check.
Should I hire attorney? Or should I wait 90 days ?
How long usually take for girls to complete background check?

my case is pending 2005 as a greencard i130
updated june 2008 as citizen now a days case is approved and send nvc wait for i 824 864 forms
you write a letter for senator but help you and with in 15 days usci ss defintely give you response
 
2nd evidence was marriage certificate in my native language. i submitted only English true translation certificate. required are both copies (English & Urdu) case is not approved yet so there is no interview.
 
^Hi atif10, I am assuming your wife is in pakistan? I just applied for my wife's I-130 as a US Citizen. I did not include the orignal marriage certificate in urdu and just attached the english translation. I guess I will be getting the RFE as well
 
yes my wife is in Pakistan. you should wait for RFE. do not required original documents just need a clean copy of required papers.

usually girls don't face back ground situation. i don't know why they put my wife to check back ground ?

I dont know where you heard about that -- Senator is on a State level, but USCIS background checks are done through Federal organizations -- my Senator from FL got the same answer as I did -- background pending - and that was a year ago case still on hold, so they can do as much as you can, not more.
 
can she get a visit visa for canada ? her case is pending since long time in usa. do not know how long it will take to complete back ground process
should I apply canda visa for her ?
 
Hi Atif. i'm from Pakistan as well and a citizen. i applied i130 for my wife in May 2007 and have received nothing but the first notice as of yet. i have reached out to Senator and Congressman. it has been 18+ months and my wife's case is pending background check.

i registered on this site just to respond to you... i am also considering Canada...
 
just file k3 forget about canada, it will approved soon compare to i130. same cost to apply canada visa go islamabad pay all charges and do not know after canada she can come USA, so my dear just file k3 and wait for few months.
