Hello! I am an US Citizen and have my first baby due in late August early September. (YEEAA!) I am so happy that I will have a child and be a mommy but also very scared about the upcoming future. I planned this pregnancy, but I naivly thought INS processing times are what they say on the 1st Notice Of Action. I filed two I-130 for both my mom and dad in Sep 16th 2002. For whatever reason processing at Nebraska Center has been very very slow. My question is: Should I just fly to my home country and file directly at the Consulate? How do I cancel the curent pending petitions at NCS? How much faster is Consular Processing? How long do I have to stay in my native country to file the forms? I can only take 1-2 week vacation from my busy job. I really need my parents here next to me to help me with my baby! I can not beleive I am an US Citizen and can not have at least my mom next to me when I give birth! Please help me, guys, advice me what is the best for me if I need my parents in the US before middle of August 2003?
