B2 Visa extension doubts

Hi all,
My mother came to US on B2 visa on 13th Jan 2009 for 6 months. This is her first visit. she came here to help me with my pregnancy and newborn baby. But she got only 3 months in her I-94. Her date in I-94 is April 12th. She has booked her return dates for july 5th. I Certainly want her to stay here with me till july. My questions are

1. When do I apply for her extension?
2. What is the possibility that she will get extension?
3. What reasons do I need to mention for her stay for another 3 months so that immigration people will surely give her extension?
4. Will there be any problem when she comes back again after 1 or 2 years?

Kindly help me with my problem.

A1: Theoretically anytime before her I-94 expires.
A2: With a restricted I-94, I have my doubts, but you never know.
A3: No one can predict what will result in USCIS "surely" extending her stay. EOS should be for life and death emergencies only in my opinion. Staying back to help you during your pregnancy may not result in success.
A4: If her I-539 is denied, her visa will be voided too. Is it worth the risk?

US immigration law does not permit what you and your mother plan for her to do. It is illegal work. If you need her assistance, you need to return to your home country. If you chose to remain in the US, you must HIRE a person who LEGALLY may WORK in the US - a nanny, nurse, doula, whoever.

Your visa status in the US does not grant you the priviledge to violate US LAWS.

Your mother was given a short stay because they suspected that she was not a legitimate tourist. Your question validates the IO's concern. If your mother wishes to be able to easily return to the US to VISIT her grandchildren, she should leave before the expiration date of her original I-94.

This issue has been addressed repeatedly in these forums. If you knew you could not have abided by US laws, you should not have entered the country.
