B2 (tourists visa) visa guidelines

Hi

I already have a B1/B2 business visa and applying for B2 visa for my wife. Can anyone please provide general guidelines for applying the B2 visa?
- The DS 160 asks for point of contact details in USA. Currently i dont have anyone in USA who can act as a Point of contact for now. Can we skip this step? or is there any alternative for this
