I was not able to find a suitable answer to this in the previous posts
and hence a new thread
My mother is currently visiting and is on a B-2 visa. This is her 4th visit.
She had no plans of being a student but a right opportunity has come along and she is thinking of studying. School term starts in Jan'06 and her official
stay (B2) expires in Feb'06 end.
Can she convert her B-2 status to F-1 ? If yes, then does she need to
go back to India for stamping or can she go to Canada/Mexico and get it done ?
Any pointers in this regard would be gr8 !!!
