B2 stamp notation

Hi there!
Does anyone know when they stamp your passport at the airport (canada), what it means when they put Class "NC B2" or "B2 TM"?
I flew to the states a couple times within one month last year, and just noticed this on my passport

In that case, N/C = Not Controlled

I got several of those when I used to travel to the US as a citizen of Pakistan with PR status in Canada. Back then, commonwealth citizens with PR status in Canada could travel visa free to the US.

Canadian! Sorry!

Not controlled?

I wonder what thats supposed to mean
Is it because I didnt have proof I was coming back? ( i only had a one way ticket, since I was driving back with my boyfriend who is a usc)
The agent asked me a gazillion questions since I had no proof of my trip, etc. Just said I had 2 kids staying with their dad while I visited some friends for two weeks. This trip was 3 weeks after my last trip that lasted 5 days
