B2 related question

Hi,

I applied for a B2 COS from H1B in mid-December 2024, but it's still pending. Now, I have around one month left if I count from mid-December to the present date. I have a few ongoing interviews, but I have not received a job offer yet.

What are the possible next steps for me to take, as my six-month B2 visa is approaching?
Can I apply for a B2 extension even if my B2 application is still pending?

Yes, although the EOS will depend on the COS ultimately being approved for 6 months.

If you don't apply for an EOS before the 6-month mark, then even if the COS is approved (for 6 months), you will immediately be out of status at the time of approval, and it would be too late to apply for an EOS.
