B2 Extension rejected - What is the impact

Hi, I had applied for my parents extension of B2 and it got rejected. They are leaving the US soon.

What is the impact of their extension getting rejected?

Does it invalidate the current multiple entry visa they have? I checked immihelp.com, it says it invalidates. I checked with Visa specialists in Department of State they say it does not invalidate the visa.
Does any one have personal experience with this?
Would appreciate replies from people with knowledge from personal experience.

When can they return to the US? Is there a time frame for which they cannot enter?

You have to leave the country ASAP preferably next available flight (No later than 10 days)

NO the VISA is NOT invalidated. My FIL had his extension rejected once. He had left the country before the decision was made by INS. He was not asked any questions on his next visit. He had a valid 10 ye multiple entry visa

When can they return to the US? Is there a time frame for which they cannot enter?

Thanks for sharing your experience. Wanted to find out if your parents came to visit you after the extension rejection and the relevant experience in entering again.

My mom's extension just got rejected and am worried about what needs to be done . documents to carry.
