B2 extension awaiting H1 approval (AOS): Urgent

Hi all,

I'm on B2 visa I-94 valid until July 7th. My hospital has filed H1 and AOS for me to start residency last week ( premium processing) i.e 5 calender days ago! Kindly let me know if I should file for an extension of B2 pending approval of my H1? as its a long weekend this week ( 4th July!) I anticipate my H1 approval may/may not be with me until 7th!

Will I be out of status if my approval is delayed beyond 7th? or by virtue of pending H1 petition I will maintain my status?

Also, if I apply for extension on B2 will apporval on H1 be affected/delayed until I have decision on B2???( seems unlikely though!)

If the I-129 was properly filed, checking 2(a) and 5(b), you should be okay.
