B2 - Documents by Courier

Do we need to send all the documents by courier to the consulate prior to the interview ?

Has something changed recently; I had booked an appointment in November and got the interview date for Jan'05. I have NOT sent any documents to the consulate by courier. Is this a problem ?

When did this process change ?
Will the consulate keep up the appointment if the documents are not sent by courier ?

Any help is appreciated.

I am speaking from my experience with Chennai Consulate. You will have to
book your appointment through TTK Services website, and then just attend
the interview on the scheduled date with all the paperwork. There is no
requirement to send the papers prior to the appointment date.

Again my experience is with Chennai and the Visa is B2.

Does any one know if the Chennai consulate has any preference for online DS-156 over regular one for B2 Visa?
